Statement
My handmade Xerox collages are inspired by a diverse range of artists, literature and fashion. Consisting mainly of Victoriana, a dialogue concerning the idea of excess in contemporary culture is presented. I am inspired greatly by J.K. Huysmans’ Against Nature, The Theatre of the Absurd and film maker Terry Gilliam. Camp and apocalyptic sensibilities are related to the concepts of artifice and decadence, which characterise my work.
